Resurrection… The Show

So after being trapped in my house for the last 2 months and probably painting an average of 13 plus hours a day, the show finally arrived.

Resurrection, my first solo show in LA was hours away and it was crunch time.  Saturday, July 17th kicked off on a crazy note.  After sleeping for a mere 3 hours in four days leading to the event, I was awoken from a phone call from Lofa at 9am.  Dang!  That was gonna be the day I finally slept in before the show!  Oh well, at least it was good news.  Lofa was here from Hawaii, Palmetto was here to get the custom Newkon arcade machine ready to go, and fellow PFOM homie Woebots arrived to finish our collaboration.

Slowly the staff arrived, and the crew put it in high gear to get everything ready.  The tent went up, DJ Time Machine and Groove Monsters were set, the bar was filled with drinks from our sponsor AMP Energy drinks and of course the alcohol, the taco stand from Vega Meats was heating up, and with an hour left till show time I was out the door.

Things were soooo crazy that I eighty-sixed the idea of cutting my hair and just got ready for the show.  Lucky for me Larry was in town and had my credit card.  While getting ready, I sent him simultaneously to go shopping to pick the gear I’d wear for the night.  Even with that, I arrived an hour late for the show.

Here's the breakdown of the festivities...  When I arrived the parking lot was full and people were flowing out and about.  From looking at the art, to enjoying the free food and drinks, to the beats coming from DJ speaker set up, all our guests were entertained, and the show had only just begun.
